The Latte Float and Seasonal Matcha Mi Xiu. (It was a play on tiramisu but with coconut milk and matcha.) Soooo good!
The Hidden Gem of Philly
Coffee Guy and I were in a “semi” long distance relationship, where we travelled an hour and a half just to stay with each other, the first two years of our relationship. Coffee Guy lived in a suburb about 20 minutes outside of Philadelphia. We would routinely travel to the city for fun things to do.
After having a delicious bowl of pho, Vietnamese soup, we were treated to a Vietnamese latte and fell in love with the style of coffee. When we were in Coffee Guy’s neighborhood we researched places to get Vietnamese coffee, and stumbled onto Càphê Roasters located in the heart of the city! While the surrounding area needed work, this coffee shop is connected to a large foundation that’s dedicated to the betterment of the area through philantrophy and outreach.
Càphê Roasters hosts a variety of Vietnamese inspired coffee choices that nowadays sell out and are so popular, the line extends to the door. Not to mention, coffee beans are roasted in house. Once inside, you’re in for a treat of great coffee, delicious food, and kind customer service. Coffee Guy and I have been going for a while and although we’ve moved further away, we try to stop by every once in a while!
CG&I Honest Advice:

Also, grab whatever food special they have and their tamarind fries for a sweet, sour, savory treat. Heads up, the wait will be a bit longer…but who wants to rush greatness??
They remember customer faces for a more personalized experience as you keep returning
There’s only street parking, go earlier in the day to beat the 11am rush on Saturdays and Sundays. Use caution when you park your car, and be mindful of all street signs if going during the week.
